Currently this is our best seller tour, with departures every Sunday of the year (check the calendar in the “Book Now” page to see if there’s availability in the chosen week, we highly suggest to book the tour some months in advance to be sure you will get the reservation) . We have chosen Sunday as the first day of the tour so that you can leave from your house during the weekend and return during the next one, hoping that this is going to fit into your working schedule better.

Each one of our tours is different since our photographers will take you to the best photo locations basing on the weather forecasts, the sun or moon position in the sky and many other variables, so we can’t really make an official day-by-day schedule: we can only give you some general informations about the itinerary.

Day 1 (Sunday):

You arrive at the airport, we will be there to wait for you. As soon as you will make the reservation, we will ask you the time of your arrival flight (or we will help you choosing the right flights combinations for you, if you are having troubles) so that we can wait for you and the other participants at the airport. When all the participants are arrived, we move to the hotel (2h drive if you land in Pisa, 1h30h drive if you land in Florence) so that you can set up your room and leave there all the luggages. If there’s time, we will make our first photography session before dinner, just in time for sunset; if there’s not, we will have dinner at the hotel and then if the weather and the conditions permit (and most of all, if you are not tired!), we’ll make a first night photography session.

Day 2-6 (Monday-Friday):

The routine during all these days will be pretty much the same:

  • we are going to wake up early every morning to catch the twilight and then the sunrise;
  • after the morning photography session, we return to the hotel to have breakfast and if conditions permits we go out again to catch some nice morning fog with the sunlight;
  • around midday we are going to have lunch in some beautiful restaurants to taste some of the local dishes;
  • in the afternoon some days we will have some postproduction workshop, where we are going to teach you everything you need to get out the best of your shots using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Photoshop; other days we will give you the day free to do some shopping or to taste some good wines with some good meats; lastly, if the weather keeps some interesting conditions (like low fog) even after lunch, we are not going to stop shooting, trying to find some interesting point of view.
  • In the late afternoon, no matter what we make during the day, we meet again to go for the sunset photography session;
  • After the evening photography session, we return to the hotel to have dinner with some delicious local food;
  • After dinner, some of you will be tired and all they want is to pour themselves a glass of wine and stay in their room, while others will still be full of energy and want to make some astrophotography; of course we will satisfy everyone! If the sky is clear from the clouds we will go to photograph the milky way, (if we are in the right period of the year), make some startrails or simply capture the stars over some beautiful location with only the sounds of roosters singing.

Day 7 (Saturday):

Well, that is going to be a sad day; unfortunately our tour has come to an end, and we must say goodbye! After breakfast, if all the participants have the flight in the late afternoon we are going to make the last photography session, if there’s not time we will help you make the check out from the hotel and we will take you to the airport, from which you will take your return flight.

Here it is another list about what we suggest to bring with you for this trip:

What to bring (camera equipment):

  • Digital Camera (preferably a DSLR camera, both an APS-C and FF will be more than fine)
  • An ultrawide lens (such as the Nikon 14-24mm, Canon 16-35mm, Tamron 15-30mm, Tokina 16-28mm etc); we recommend a lens with a wide maximum aperture (like f/2.8) for night photography.
  • A standard zoom lens (like the various Nikon/Canon/Sigma 24-70mm or 24-105mm)
  • A telephoto zoom lens (like the various Nikon/Canon/Tamron/Sigma 70-200mm)
  • A super telephoto zoom lens (like the Sigma/Tamron 150-600mm); this lens is not necessary but we recommend it anyway since it allows to capture the far away details of the landscapes
  • A sturdy tripod that permits to do some long exposure photos, specially during the twilight hour
  • A set of ND filters; these are the only filters we feel to recommend, since they become useful when you need to stretch the exposure time a little bit during some difficult light conditions
  • A camera remote to avoid blurry shots

What to bring (clothing):

A few weeks before your departure, we will contact you suggesting the best clothes to bring with you basing on the weather forecasts and the current temperatures, so that you will be perfectly equipped by the time of you arrival!

Price: 3290€
